In the year 1996, Sri Sajjan Kumar Patwari established an organization, the Rashmi Group of Companies, with Development, Quality, Speed, and above all, Reliability as the four unshakeable pillars of this organization. Rashmi Group has evolved as one of the fastest-growing business conglomerate in the eastern part of India within four decades.
Rashmi Group is one of the leading manufacturers of Steel, Cement, Power, Coal Mining, and Iron Ore Mining and Trading. It is the largest manufacturer of sponge iron in West Bengal with a capacity of 19.52 Lac TPA. The Group has completed the setup of several integrated Rashmi Metaliks Plants in the Midnapore district of West Bengal.
Rashmi Group has its Plant and Manufacturin unit ar Kharagpur in West Bengal. The group's turnover amounts to X20,000 Crores approximately.
Rashmi Group, through a consortium of Steel Companies, has obtained a coal block with a reserve of 1,000 million tonnes of high-quality coal from Govt. of India. Rashmi has been awarded `Ultra Mega Project' status by Govt. of West Bengal. It is among the first companies that got the environmental and pollution clearance in West Bengal.
